Railway Ecological Services

Naturally Wild have been heavily involved in the Rail sector for over 20 years covering most parts of the UK from our bases in the North East and in Wiltshire. We have completed a full range of ecological works for our many clients from Inverness through to Cornwall and the south east of England working across most of the major routes including West Coast, East Cost and regional routes. We are RISQS registered and audited as well as being Constructionline approved, ensuring that we operate to the highest rail standards. Our team are PTS holders and used to working as part of a wider team on the rail network, where we can provide support from initial project enquiries and PEA surveys through to full protected species licensing, mitigation, compensation and delivery of biodiversity enhancements. Our specialist department can provide Ecological Clerk of Works (ECOW) through to roped access where safety issues dictate a specialist approach is required. We work to the highest standards during bird nesting season to ensure clients legal and moral obligations need to be fully assessed and cared for. Regardless of what ecological issue needs to be addressed we are here to offer the client a full suite of surveys and a practical way of resolving complex issues.

Highway Ecological Services

Naturally Wild have been supporting work on the UK motorway and highways sector for over 20 years and have a proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget. From our two current bases in the North East and In Wiltshire we are well placed to be able to support this specialist area even at short notice. The team are experienced in delivering a full suite or ecological surveys ,protected species licensing and enhancement packages regardless of location or size. Most team members hold individual species survey licences and are full y trained for highway and motorway work with many holding Highways England passports showing they have been trained in safety relating to highways. We have access to Chapter 8 highway marked vehicles as well as having the ability to supply welfare vans across the network and are experienced in working alongside multiple specialities along side Traffic Safety Control Officers (TSCO). Our experience is vast and staff have safely undertaken work on major motorway routes such as M1, M25, M23, M27, M5, M74, M6 as well as other major non motorways routes such as A1, A66, A74, A9 and A3. The Highways sector is a complex one where safety is of paramount and experience is of critical importance.
